Kingpins launched its jeans supply chain show in 2004 in New York as a way to connect this denim industry. But Kingpins soon realized the denim community is even larger than they thought and they took the concept around the world.

Inside the venue, those oversize yellow traffic lights were strung up everywhere, bathed in cool blue light. Before the show began, clients and VIPs—Usher, Tierra Whack, Jenny Slate, Lily Allen—wandered through the show space, plucking coupe glasses of Champagne off waiters’ trays, wielding their Birkins and Kelly bags. “Do you like my accent? I’m French,” played over the speakers, mixed with a funky beat. From the moment the first model, Anok Yai, hit the runway, there it was: a collection that melded New York style from a French perspective, and vice versa.
NBA Awards 2017
For the first time, the NBA announced the winner of the MVP and the league's other major awards during a live show televised on TNT. The awards show, hosted by rapper/entertainer Drake, was held at Basketball City at Pier 36 in Manhattan, New York, on June 26.
